Police Arrest 4 Individuals for Drug Distribution At Ewing Sports Bar
An extensive undercover investigation into the sale of controlled dangerous substances in a Ewing Township bar has come to a conclusion with arrest of four (4) individuals. The investigation targeted the sale of cocaine dealing from a Ewing bar called Firkin Tavern. to the arrests of four young men on range of drug charges, and one for possessing firearms. it should be noted that the suspects arrested were not employees but patrons of the bar.
Who Was Charged for Drug Distribution in Ewing Bar?
The men arrested and charged in this drug distribution enterprise included: Ryan Sodomin, 22, of Ewing is facing second degree drug charges. Qumaine Ellis, 27, of Trenton is facing with second-degree drug charges, firearms offenses and resisting arrest. Jacob Hahn, 25, of Ewing is facing third degree drug charges. Lastly, Jacob Vizzini, 25, of Ewing is also facing third degree drug charges.
Can The Bar’s License Be Suspended?
Unfortunately, the bar may be held liable for violations of the rules and administrative regulations pertaining the liquor licenses in New Jersey. While the bar may have been unaware of the drug distribution occurring, they are held strictly liable for the acts of both employees and patrons of their establishment.
Specifically, ABC Charges could be preferred against the liquor license held by Firkin Tavern for suffering illegal activity or narcotic activity on the licensed premises. This of course would require actual proof that the distribution of narcotics occurred on or about the licensed premises. If found in violation of N.J.A.C. 13:2-23.5, Illegal Activity, the licensee will face a presumptive 30-day license suspension for a first offense. If found in violation of N.J.S.A. 33:2-23.5, Narcotic Activity, the licensee will face a presumptive 45-day license suspension for a first offense.
